Social Security Trust Fund Protection Pledge

You’ve shown your commitment to protecting the future of Social Security by signing thousands of petitions and calling your Congressmen and Congresswomen.

Now The Seniors Center is asking those same Congressmen and Congresswomen to show THEIR commitment to the future of Social Security beneficiaries:

In a brand new initiative to reach out directly to our elected officials, The Seniors Center is asking every member of the 115th Congress to sign the Social Security Trust Fund Protection Pledge and make a personal promise to their constituents that they will work to protect our retirement benefits.

Upon signing, the Social Security Trust Fund Protection Pledge represents an oath to American seniors and to all working Americans the signer will support legislation to both repay our spent surplus, placing it into a REAL trust account for retirees, and to permanently end the “borrow-and-spend” practice that put our surplus into everything but Social Security benefits.

The Seniors Center will be contacting all 535 U.S. Senators and Representatives on behalf of our supporters and all American retirees to ask for their pledge.

In the coming weeks, check back at this page for a tally of each official we’ve contacted as well as a list of those who have joined us by taking the pledge!
