Survey Shows 67% of Americans Say Congress Doesn’t Understand Retiree Tax Burdens
Washington, D.C. – According to a new survey by The Seniors Center, 67% of respondents say Congress does not understand how tax policies impact retirees living on fixed incomes.
Additionally, 83% say their retirement income is unfairly taxed—revealing deep frustration with the current tax structure for seniors.
These results show a fundamental disconnect between policymakers and the retired Americans they represent. It’s time for a serious conversation about tax fairness for seniors.
