104,164 Petitions Delivered to Congress

For Immediate Release

October 2026

Thanks to you and thousands of fellow supporters across the country, The Seniors Center recently delivered 104,164 signed petitions to Congressional leaders demanding action to protect the Social Security Trust Fund.

This wasn’t a Washington press event — it was your voice. Every signature represents a supporter who took time out of their day because they refuse to stay silent while Social Security’s future hangs in the balance. From congressional districts across the country, you made sure lawmakers couldn’t look away.

“I have huge concerns about the solvency of the Social Security Trust Fund,” said Dan Perrin, President of The Seniors Center. “The most basic flaw is that the Social Security Trust Fund is empty. Congress has borrowed and spent $2.85 trillion — every dime of the savings we entrusted them with is gone. I hope the voices of 104,164 Americans will wake up Washington to the fact that the time to act is now.”

Why this matters — and why it worked

Congress doesn’t move because of press releases. It moves when it sees real numbers behind real people. That’s what you gave them today: proof that tens of thousands of Americans are watching, organized, and demanding that retirement funds be protected — segregated from the general budget, and off-limits to lawmakers looking for a quick fix elsewhere.

This is only possible because of you

The Seniors Center doesn’t take a dime from the government or special interests. Every petition drive, every campaign, every delivery to Capitol Hill is funded entirely by supporters like you. This delivery of petitions is proof that people working together adds up to something Congress has to notice.

Thank you. This win belongs to you.
