The Seniors Center Blog Western Union is currently mailing claim forms to victims of wire transfer scammers to receive compensation from a $586 million settlement reached with the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice in January.
If you’ve been affected by a wire transfer scam using Western Union services during a certain time period–whether you’ve already filed a report with Western Union or not–it is possible you’re eligible to receive remission from the settlement. But you must file your claim before February 12, 2018.
