Recently The Seniors Center delivered 103, 215 signed petitions to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. The petitions were collected from Americans across the country during the second quarter of this year.
Our petitions call on Congress to take immediate action to save and protect the Social Security Trust Fund, starting with requiring the Trust Fund to contain real money instead of IOU’s. We also call on Congress to no longer allow the practice of borrowing money from the Trust Fund.
