We’ve all probably gotten the phone call once or twice that one of our accounts has been compromised. It’s pretty upsetting to find out someone’s going on a shopping spree with our hard-earned money, but it’s USUALLY not a huge deal to put a stop to and recover our funds.
But lately, people are receiving these calls only to find out their accounts were never compromised–at least, they weren’t before the phone call.
Every call and email you might receive regarding a “compromised” account isn’t trying to help you. In fact, it may just be someone trying to get access.
