Millions of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients recently got a concerning message. The message stated that the Social Security Administration (SSA) had not processed their benefits.
However, officials state that this message was an error. In spite of the message, benefits were deposited as normal.
SSI is a program that provides funding for about 7.4 million. Individuals are eligible if their income, age, or health issues inhibit their ability to work. The SSA says this error message is one of several lately, among others like website outages and missing fields on online sign-up forms.
As we’ve covered, SSA errors are somewhat common, and have been affecting the agency and those who rely on it for decades. Did you receive this message? Did someone you know receive it? Let us know in the comments!
