These fraudsters take advantage of homeowners considering summertime renovation projects by approaching them at their doorsteps, making a high-pressure sales pitch, and demanding cash payment upfront.  Afterward, if they show up for the work at all, they cause thousands of dollars in damage performing fast subpar “repairs” without insurance, licensing, or experience.
