Major Changes Are Coming to Social Security Disability Benefits

Social Security disability benefits are a lifeline for millions of people. But up until recently, applying for them could be a challenge.

That’s because the data used to determine eligibility was outdated. This led to denied applicants being told they couldn’t get benefits because they could work – the problem was, the jobs cited no longer existed.

Now data updates are changing this, and could make the program more accessible. In addition, there’s also legislation in discussion to potentially improve the ability of benefit recipients to work. The new changes could help provide clarity, so they don’t lose their benefits or get hit with overpayments.

What do you think about these changes?
