This New SSA Security Protocol Could Improve Customer Service

As we’ve covered, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has been experimenting with new changes to improve customer service.

Some of these have received mixed reviews, but the goal has always been to help customers connect faster with qualified support representatives. The newest update could accomplish this, while also improving security to boot.

Those with a “my Social Security” account can now create a Security Authorization PIN (SAP). This measure is completely voluntary. Those who decide to use it may be able to shave off a few minutes of their time waiting on the phone. And when you consider how those saved minutes can compound, it will mean the SSA as a whole can improve its response speed while also enhancing security.

In essence, this measure could provide more benefits based on how many people use it. We at The Seniors Center know all about this concept of collective action. When voices come together, we can protect the future of Social Security.

Help The Seniors Center Protect the Future of Social Security

The Seniors Center is committed to finding solutions to strengthen and protect the Social Security Trust Fund. Social Security is a contract between citizens and the government. Money deposited in the Trust Fund should only be used to pay benefits to eligible recipients.

The Seniors Center is demanding Congress finally put a stop to the careless borrowing and spending by greedy politicians that has put our Trust Fund and our secure retirement in jeopardy.

At The Seniors Center, our goal is to help seniors, and we’re doing that by protecting the future of Social Security. Retirees shouldn’t have to worry about losing their hard-earned benefits to taxes or the agendas of greedy politicians.
